I have fallen in love with the Maui coastline. Sometimes you need change in perspective. To shake off insecurities and realize that alternative scenery, the introduction of new characters, and learning from those characters is the perfect paradigm shift. A photography workshop in Maui worked as that medium for me. Last month I attended a workshop hosted by Phil Chester, Ryan Muirhead and Dylan&Sara Photography. Incredibly talented individuals willing to share their stories with us.
The workshop has influenced me to search for the real reason I am a photographer, the deeply rooted push behind this art form I am trying to make a career. As mentioned in my bio page, I can’t get rid of photography. No matter what I do, I am always searching for the best light, noticing how you hold your love’s hand, how I know (think) you would want a photo that love if you knew what I was seeing. I just can’t live without it. I’ll keep working on that answer, it sounded better in my head. For now I’m going to better curate my business in order for it to reflect my brand and personality.
For now, that means film.
I shot the following in film and I am twitter-pated with the results.
